A Triumphant Victory Heralds the End of the Closed Beta Phase
As the dust and ash settle upon the battlefield, the cries of victory erupt from familiar voices. Pushed back beyond the reach of any mortal man, panda, virid or elf, the enemy has retreated to regroup or perhaps to pursue the second phase of its diabolical stratagem. Now comes a time for rest and healing, practice and contemplation upon the defeats of this first skirmish. We will count and venerate our dead whilst we celebrate a hard-fought victory. Today, you too can stand proud and declare that you came, you saw, you conquered!
On this most portentous of days, the Eligium team wishes to thank each and every closed beta participant. We dare not imagine how impossible this task would have been without you. With a steady and often overwhelming flow of bug reports, technical feedback and constructive criticism, you have assisted us in putting Eligium through one of its most vital phases of testing. This trial by fire has allowed us to better understand the game's strengths, but also its weaknesses. By helping us to work closer with the developer, your assistance has permitted us to continue improving this great game.
The end of the closed beta will take place on Sunday, the 22nd of January, at midnight (CET). At this time, the server will be shut down and we will proceed to take a short break prior to the launch of the open beta. During this time, we will ensure that each and every one of your comments is read, your suggestions considered and your bug reports resolved. We will announce the start of the open beta phase over the course of the next few days. Prior to this, a wipe of all characters will be executed to ensure that all participants in the Open Beta begin on a level playing field.
Once again, many, many thanks to all of the closed beta participants – you’ve helped us a great deal in improving the quality of Eligium. We can't wait to see you in the open beta.
Now, rest and recover after this arduous battle. In days to come, you will once again be called upon to defend your homelands. May the gods continue to look favourably upon you and grant you the power to be the bulwark against the enemy from this day forward!
